Three teens injured in Bethany wreck


BETHANY, Mo. - The Missouri State Highway Patrol says three Bethany teens have severe injuries after a two car accident west of Bethany.

The Patrol says 18-year-old Jacob Maize, of Bethany, was eastbound on 136 Highway in a 2001 Volkswagen Beetle at 1:52 p.m. last Friday.

Maize struck a 2018 Chevy 2500, driving by 80-year-old Leroy Gooding of Albany, head on. Maize and one juvenile passenger were taken to Harrison County Community Hospital with serious injuries.

Another juvenile passenger was lifeflighted to Children's Mercy in serious condition. Gooding was sent to Harrison County Hospital with moderate injuries.
